We were surprised to find the hotel bar food (yes, the bar food!) enjoyable. As NYers, we're used to great restaurant options and tend to complain when we travel elsewhere & visit high google rated restaurants only to be disappointed. Yet they found themselves visiting us for dinner after a good first impression with the breakfast. On the other hand, my sister and her partner left after the first night because the small set up didn't work for them.
There was a sense of privacy in the hotel set up/hallways. We slept comfortably (I'm tall) and despite the bathroom being oddly plexiglass/glass in a small room, it worked out for us. 'Granted, it is not for everyone, but my daughter and I enjoyed our stay at Citizen M.
